Matt Smorang

Matt was the resident guitarist of our Studio class, specializing in Blues Rock.

For his Studio project, Matt built, painted, and lacquered his own electric guitar, wrote several songs, as well as took steps towards recording his first EP. Despite being a novice luthier, Matt was able to bring his custom vision to life, and he expressed excitement at the thought of future attempts crafting guitars.

Music has always been important to Matt, and he will continue pursuing it after high school. He views music as a universal language, and hopes his music will help bridge gaps between people.
